As the light dims and the shadows creep in, the monsters become more challenging, but the loot they drop becomes more enticing. Something else to consider about torchlight: its effect isn’t as straightforward as it seems at first glance. My advice to you: always keep a stash of torches handy. If it dips below 50, the monsters become more accurate and dangerous, and there’s an increased chance they’ll surprise your party. If your light level drops below 75, your heroes are likely to take more stress damage. Maintaining high light levels reduces the unpredictability of the dungeons and prevents you from getting caught off guard. This increases your heroes’ accuracy and improves your chances of scouting ahead, both vital aspects of the game.
